Engineers play an important role in modern society. They develop technology and knowledge that benefits humankind, and their work can affect public health, safety, and can influence business practices and even politics. In this context, engineer’s work has a far-reaching impact on society and its environment. Therefore, engineers must conduct themselves under a strict code of ethics that allows them to enhance the society’s welfare.
